Neve Paritzki Israel Celebrates Record Breaking Tourism Entry Numbers United States

NEW YORK, Sept. 8, 2022 /PRNewswire The Israel Ministry of Tourism announced today record-breaking numbers of tourists from the United States visiting Israel in the months of July and August. The country welcomed 78,000 tourists from the United States during July 2022 which is an increase of 4% over the year before and 71,000 tourists from the United States during August 2022. That's 13% increase over the year before.

"It is so thrilling to witness a new rise in the number of tourists visiting Israel from the United States, already reaching and surpassing our record-breaking numbers in 2019" said Eyal Carlin, Tourism Commissioner for North America. "The United States has been the most important destination for tourism to Israel that is inbound. Before the COVID-19 outbreak we had been celebrating record-breaking numbers of Israel's tourism entry each month.

In line with in the United States, Canada is also on track to surpass its tourist arrivals in Israel, reaching 7,200 visitors in July 2022 , and 6,000 in August.



Gal Hana, Consul to Canada and Director of Canada at the Israel Ministry of Tourism said that it was thrilling to see Canada's tourism to Israel rebounding. "We are getting close to our record-setting numbers in 2019. We believe that this growth will continue to grow as Canadians visit more countries.

Israel received more tourists from all over the world in 2019 than any other nation. 969 600 of these were American. Israel's official reopening to all tourists was in May of 2018. The country has already been home to over 600,400 US travelers since then.
