Minecraft Hits 54 Million Sold Console Editions PC Editions Of Minecraft Pass PC

Mojang's Patrick Geuder said that Minecraft's massive sandbox is close to 54 million copies across all platforms. He also stated via Twitter that the sales of the console (Xbox 360, PS3) versions have already surpassed that of the PC and Mac versions. minecraft servers will be available on Xbox One, PS4 or Vita in August. The Vita version of the game is cross-buy compatible and free for players who own the PS3 version. Xbox One and PS4 owners who have the game installed on Xbox 360 or PS3 will be able to download the newer versions for $5.



The first time players experienced Minecraft came in May 2009, when the alpha version was made available, two years before its official release in November. Mojang and Markus "Notch", Persson who is the Minecraft creator have achieved a number of milestones in the sales. Recently, Mojang reported that 15 million copies had been sold of the PC version.
