Minecraft has seen its fair share of recreations. Whether it's a YouTuber making their twisted take on Tetris, or just a fan creating their very own Dark Souls game, there's no shortage of blocky takes on other bits of media. It's only logical to know that there are many Minecraft builds inspired by Lord of the Rings.

Many of the builds we write about are large in scale and intricate, but this one from DesignMinion is all small details. DesignMinion posted a Reddit clip of a new door that they had created. Kirn It is a stunning recreation of The Mines of Moria. Some people laugh at the idea that it leads into a mine, while others believe it to be a tomb. This door is beautiful, that's all we know. It's almost as if you're reading the IKEA catalogue and you're wondering how DesignMinion did this. "The line art is made with white concrete blocks. Stone, deepslate, and cyan terracotta were used to create the stone texture. The stone'staircases,' which rise towards the south, make the stone slightly brighter.

DesignMinion made this possible by creating a canvas using Photoshop, copying the Tolkien artwork then turning it into four maps.

Another great detail is The Watcher. He is a tiny squid dude here, but a terrifying Hobbit-eating Kraken elsewhere. It glows because of a side effect from Sildur’s Vibrant Shaders V1.32 Medium, which DesignMinion is using. It's only a small thing, but it's a funny nod to the Lord of the Rings that fans will appreciate.
