Boards have ratings like TV shows, called Gross Rating Points (GRP). Each board has a traffic count, and when divided by the population, the result is a GRP. Billboard sales are usually made in GRPs. Meaning you buy a 25 showing or a 50 or 75 or 100 showing. A 25 showing would mean that at least 25% of the population would see one of your boards at least once a day. A 25 showing could take one board, three or many, depending on the traffic count and the population. It is possible to buy only one board, but not cost effective. After you decide to use outdoor, you have to pay for printing the paper or vinyls and they usually come in units of 10.

Blogging. I know, I know. I said 5. but I always strive to deliver more than I promise! When Twitter's 140 characters just isn't enough and even Facebook seems a little confining - BLOG! It's where you can get a few things off your chest, flesh out an idea or concept, and allow your prospects and customers to get to know you on a different level - all great rapport builders! https://incatalogue.company/ than an article but more than a post, blogging is my go-to option when I have more than just a couple of sentences or a link to share. And, of course, "teasing" your Facebook fans and Twitter followers with a link to your latest blog post - which, of course, links to your website, LinkedIn profile, and YouTube channel - well, that's what you're aiming for.

Go for the benefits, not the features. When your target market gets to know your product or service, they are not really interested on the features. They want to know what kind of benefit they are going to enjoy from what you are offering. After all, they want to pay for something that has of value to them.

You have someone that can offer you excellent suggestions. This is especially true if you are working alone. There are times when the things that we want cannot be pushed through because of certain limitations. For example, putting a particular image in a billboard may not be a good idea since, according to your design, the printing company should stretch the design until it becomes very distorted. Because they have already dealt with several number of clients, they can already add great inputs to your marketing ideas.

There are many advertisers who have no idea what the cost of advertising space is on a billboard. Billboards are the least expensive per exposure of any media. Many advertisers who currently have ad placement in newspapers, radio or television are often shocked at how low cost advertising panel is. And many have never bothered to call to get a price list, since they are mistakenly convinced that it is out of their budget. Additionally, there are many new businesses that are equally unaware of the cost of billboard advertising, and are amazed at its affordability. Simply getting the message out to potential advertisers of what billboards really cost is very effective in finding new clients.

You might not be as bold as Branson, but it pays to have a sense of humor for your business. In 1996, Taco Bell announced it bought the historical Liberty Bell. The company also declared the bell would be known as the Taco Liberty Bell. Lots of people complained, but it turned out to be an April Fool's Day joke. The prank made added revenue of $500,000 on that day.

Identify the design. This is the part where you need to know how the ads will look like. What images are you going to put? Where is it going to be? Should there be texts? If there are, what should they say? What are the most ideal colors? In all these questions, there is only one thing that you need to keep in mind: all aspects of your ad must speak about your brand.

This is the most common method of print advertising. Since it is a form of print advertising, its conditions are also like that of billboards. Strategic planning is still needed for this method. Even if you have the most appealing newspaper ad design but place your ad in the home improvement or lifestyle section, there is less chance that a member of your target market can see it. However, even if you just placed the words "we buy junk cars for cash" on a one-fourth page ad but strategically positioned it next to car advertisements, then there is a greater chance that your ad will be remembered by car owner and enthusiasts-your junk car shop's target market.
